Old Swiss meets the new
The Swiss Laundry was a South Cambridge landmark for over a century. Lovingly revived by our team of local designers, its classic red brickwork now fuses with the best contemporary materials.
Once, you’d come here to get your tablecloths done. Today, this CB1 location is the last word in high-spec workplaces for info-driven businesses.
But we don’t forget our heritage. It’s still Old Swiss.
Cambridge was a very different city back in 1887. Old Swiss, your tech hub, was once a tannery beside a cattle market. In 1904, that tannery became a laundry and endured for 115 years.
Messrs Chapman and Goundry, founders of Old Swiss Laundry, must have known they were laying the groundwork for the future. We’re pleased to report the business is still going in a village just outside the city.
That leaves us as custodians of the Old Swiss site, where we’re also building for tomorrow. Its location makes it a magnet for business; 15 minutes’ walk from Cambridge Station, 25 minutes by bike to the Science Park, 30 by car to Stanstead Airport.
Once you get here, you’ll like what we’ve done with the place. There’s the same traditional chimney, same time-honoured layout and Cambridge Gault brickwork, now accentuated by higher ceilings, mezzanines, and floods of natural night.
With high-spec desk space, meeting areas and breakout zones, we’re designing a setting where everyone wants to work.
